Hearing God: Part Seven - Fellowship with God

We can have fellowship with God. That is a bold statement in a world that believes God is disconnected from this world. God wants to have fellowship with us. When Adam and Eve messed it up, God still had a plan to redeem and restore us to a right relationship with Him. He and Adam used to fellowship in the Garden in the “cool of the day.” God loves us so much that He was willing to do whatever it took to restore us to a place where we could have an intimate relationship with Him. Fellowship with God is like a good marriage; we can fellowship with a triune God and we can learn much about life when we fellowship with Him.

Pastor Allen shares three points about what we receive when we are in fellowship with God, how fellowship with God is paramount to any other relationship in our life. Fellowship is imperative to hearing God. You can’t hear if you aren’t in fellowship with God. When you are in true intimate fellowship with God, life becomes an amazing adventure. Life becomes more than mere existence; it becomes worth the effort, worth the work, and worth the labor.
