Building Your Legacy: Part Four - Divine Order of the Home

The Bible tells us that “God is not the author of confusion” in first Corinthians 14:33 which would lead us to the assumption that God is a God of order. We see the order in nature, society, our homes, and the Church. Order allows people to live in a place where harmony prevails. God has given us a command to leave a legacy but it can only be done when we live in the order that He has instituted. When we begin living outside of that order, chaos ensues. A negative legacy is produced by disorder and a positive legacy is produced by proper order.

God has a plan, purpose, and proper order for our homes. He has clearly defined the roles and the part they each play in the New Testament. Who and what the husband is and is to do. And the same for the wife and children. God didn’t give this order to keep us from living freely but to give us boundaries so we could thrive and live “more abundantly.”

Pastor Carey Robertson addresses the divine order of the home as he pulls from 58 years of marriage and military and pastoral experiences. His delivery is forward, to the point, blunt, and he pulls no punches. You will enjoy his humorous stories as well as be challenged by his insights.
