The Ekklesia In Matthew 16 Jesus said that He would build His Church or Ekklesia as it is translated from the greek. And He would empower that church not just preachers and pastors so that the gates of Hell would not be able to overcome it. It is the people who are the church, not the building, events, or staff. When the people take their rightful place as His church the world in turn will be impacted and changed. Worship Pastor Todd Goodwin outlines three areas that Jesus taught about who the church really is. When the Ekklesia fully understands and comprehends in their hearts and not just in their minds who Jesus call them to be then Jesus will get all the glory due Him.
