  • This Week: Dry Bones Speak
  • Last Week: Holy Fear

Speaking to the dead is not only outlandish but really weird. However, God told the prophet Ezekiel to speak to the bones in the valley and they would live. It was Ezekiel’s holy fear and respect for God that he did what others would consider bizarre or weird and spoke to the bones. It wasn’t until he spoke what God said to, that the bones began to move and came together to create a great and vast army. Many of us would see great and mighty things in our life if we would simply hear God’s word on situations and then speak to the “bones” in our life.

Our American Christian culture has fostered and cultivated an unconscious lack of reverence and fear of God. Grace is the foundation of all that Resurrection Life stands for,x however, grace is never an excuse to not stand in awe and fear of God. Proverbs reminds us, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” And it is in that “Holy Fear” and reverence that we come before Him boldly knowing that God in His infinite power, love and wisdom gave His only Son to purchase us from the hands of the enemy and He was the only one big enough and powerful enough to do so.
