  • This Week: A People of Hope
  • Last week: Carrying Burdens

Hope is the essential key to existence. Without hope we lose the desire to continue on. All species need hope. Of all the species that exist mankind needs hope the most. As Christians and lovers of Jesus Christ we have hope in more than just this life and what it has to offer. Our hope is divine. It comes from God Himself. And because we have such a hope we should live our lives with such purpose and intensity that we affect and infect change in the world we live in. We must dole out hope to a hopeless world like handing out candy. Listen Pastor Allen declares the characteristics that should be evident in the church; a people of Hope.

I’ve got problems, you’ve got problems; we’ve all got problems. Sounds kind of harsh and uncaring doesn’t it? Well, the fact is that we all have problems or burdens to carry. The question is are we carrying the right burden. Many of us take on burdens or problems that we were never meant to carry. And in so doing we bring on ourselves pain, hurt, sorrow, misdirection, anger, frustration and more that God never intended for us to have. All because we carry burdens that we were never meant to carry or we don’t unload those burdens onto the shoulders of the king of our life, Jesus who is more than capable of carrying the burdens.
