Fear is simply not of God. It says that we don’t trust God to do what He said He would do. The opposite of love isn’t hate but fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that, “God has not given us a spirit of fear…” However we have a propensity to fear because have been trained by our culture to and of our own human nature. We actual receive fear, just as we would receive a gift, though we may not realize what we are doing, that’s exactly what we are doing.
