God wants every one of His children to succeed. He has done all that needs to be done to ensure our success. Then why do so many of us as Christian live a life that is less than all God has destined for us to live? We are living within our own power instead of depending completely and totally on the everlasting and eternal power of God in our life. Living life on our own and not connecting to the power of God is like having a billion dollars in the bank but never using it. It doesn’t make sense. God has gone above and beyond all that we could ask or think in order for us to be the victors and become the children of God. To have preconceived ideas of who God is and what God does is like putting God in a box. However, we all know that God is too big to be confined to a box. We as the church many times try and put God in a box with our thoughts and ideas that we have developed over the years, ideas and thoughts that are not biblical and that could cost us much if we continue to try and confine God. Guest speaker and Pastor Howie Hugo from Monterry, California outlines how the nation of Israel suffered because they thought God could be confined to the Ark of the Covenant a simple box made of wood and gold. The power was not in the box but God Himself. |
