To unite your heart is not something that we actually can do. It is something that is only done by the Holy Spirit. To unite your heart would mean that your heart is actually divided and is in need of being focused and single hearted. Your allegiances are many. In order for your heart to be united you will have to give up your allegiances to anything but God and allow Him to be the only one who has your heart.
How many of us have found ourselves in the same situation over and over again. A bad relationship decision, an abusive addiction, the list could go on forever. But how many of us ever stop and think about how we got there? What takes us back to the same place over and over?
