  • Last week: The Mystery of Identity

What makes us unique, our fingerprints, our personality, our attitude?  What makes us unique is our DNA which is the building blocks of who we are.  Our DNA is what makes us different from every other human being on the face of the earth.  It is the core, the center of all that we are.  Our DNA as a church is what sets us apart, it is who we are.  This series of message will deal with Resurrection Life’s core values or our DNA so to speak.  The first two values that will be discussed is the priesthood of the believer and we can impact the world in which we live.  The priesthood of the believer is about the access that each and every person that is a child of God has with the Father.  We can hear God for ourselves.  The value that says we can impact our world is all about relevancy.  The Church of Jesus Christ is more than an institution with no or little influence in the world but is and should be a powerhouse of life.  We must be such a place, we must be such a people.

We have been searching for our identity since we were teenagers.  Most people spend a lifetime trying to “find themselves.”  However, we as Christians have found our life in Christ we have also have found our identity in Him.  This mystery of identity is really no mystery at all when we come to the fullness of knowing Jesus through His resurrection, life, crucifixion and in all His glory.  Why, because we now find who we are in who He is in us.  Christ in you the hope of glory.
