Faithfulness and consistency are two characteristics that are rare in our American society and in the world today. Faithfulness is no longer celebrated as a virtue but is frowned upon when you live for what is true and accurate instead of living for the moment. Pastor Allen speaks of how God Himself celebrates faithfulness. God modeled faithfulness and consistency throughout history. From Abraham to Paul He was always there the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Even when we are faithless He is faithful. We are to follow His example and to be faithful and consistent in all areas of our life especially in our relationship with Him. Most of the Church in America thinks freedom and religion are synonymous. When in actuality they are two opposing issues. Religion never brings freedom and freedom will never equal religion. Our freedom is not a list of dos and don’ts or a catalog of all that we are required to do. It is not a freedom from but a freedom to. A freedom to be the men and women that God created us to be.
